the Answer

foster the studio x east on rodeo presents their first garment collaboration: the Answer.

living as a petite woman carries its own pattern: we recall the memories of standing on tippy toes, of ill-fitting clothes, of navigating a world scaled differently. but, it also carries big words, big ideas and even bigger dreams. over time, i’ve come to love this petite frame, and to see in it a pattern expansive enough to hold all that i am.

this collaboration is a testament to authenticity in every shape and form. blue iverson stands as the symbol, carrying cultural memory with intimacy and power. the petite body carries the pattern, turning proportion into presence. together they open a window: a reminder that size is never a limitation, only a lens.

from one short woman to another: we are here, and we are phenomenally made. we hope you enjoy the collection, only here for a limited time.

the holiday shop

foster the studio introduces the holiday shop, our second limited-edition collection that celebrates freedom, identity, and imagination. this series features four unique, original afrofuturistic patterns designed to transform the traditional holiday season into a canvas for bold expression and meaningful reflection.

these patterns are more than designs—they are visual narratives that challenge cultural norms, celebrate people of color, and broaden what the holidays can signify. by using patterns as a medium, we imagine expansive realities, inspiring a recalibration of shared aspirations for liberation. learn more about the collection below.

blue iverson

inaugural collection, summer 2024

this project was all about making Black contemporary art accessible through wearability. the inaugural collection is named after my original painting: blue iverson. the painting is a portrait of Allen Iverson, whose notorious cornrows designs ushered in a new era of fashion and creativity in the NBA. the piece explores the abstract and colorful experience in Blackness. for this collection, we did an extensive shoot, stopping at multiple iconic locations in Black LA. it was an opportunity to reflect on the legacy of LA’s Black community and the futures its continuing to push into our collective culture.
